- Most people would admit that they are in need of healing. For some, it’s physical; for others, it’s emotional. For many, it’s both.
Beloved, do you wish to be made whole–spirit, soul, and body? Jesus has made full provision for all of your needs. Will you dare to believe Him and step out in faith for your victory?
To be healed of the deep hurts of your past and walk in the TOTAL WHOLENESS God has provided for you, you must take a leap of faith and cast all of your cares upon God. When you trust Him to carry your burdens, you will soon discover the immense relief of not having to drag all of that baggage around. And without that heavy load, you will find it so much easier to accomplish all that He has called you to do.
Jesus said: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself… (Matthew 6:34).
Our spirits, which have been infused with the dunamis power of God, are to rule over our souls and bodies. We are to live our lives according to the Spirit of God within us. Paul told the Galatians:
But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. For the sinful nature has its desire which is opposed to the Spirit, and the [desire of the] Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these [two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other [continually in conflict], so that you [as believers] do not [always] do whatever [good things] you want to do.
Galatians 5:16-17, AMP
There is no middle ground. If we truly have God’s Spirit living within us–controlling every aspect of our being–we will not live the life of the flesh. We will not be ruled and controlled by our emotions and feelings. We will not even be ruled by the sickness or pain in our bodies. When we focus purely on the things of God, the Word will manifest in our lives, and all symptoms (e.g, ailments, depression, and anger) will diminish. Beloved, pray this prayer out loud, and make it personal by replacing “you” or “your” with “me.”
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
It is time for us to put the past failures, the past hurts, and the past sins behind us and take hold of all that God has planned for us. If we set our eyes on Jesus, and His finished work on the cross, then we will achieve victory over every circumstance in our lives that has been hindering us.
Paul told the Philippians:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Victory comes when we take our eyes off of negative circumstances and focus only on the truth of the Word. So, find Scriptures that cover your needs and meditate on them day and night until you are utterly convinced of your victory.
Today is the day to receive the Word of the Lord into your spirit and act on it right now. Stretch your hands up to the Lord and claim whatever you need. Release the heavy load you are carrying. Let the Lord pour the oil and the wine of the Holy Spirit into your wounds (physical and emotional).
Say this faith declaration out loud: Dear Lord, today I release my burdens to You. I will take my eyes off of my circumstances and put them on You alone. I declare that today is my day of victory. Today I receive healing and wholeness to my spirit, soul, and body. Amen.
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
